So far I haven\'t had any problems with it or the dreaded RED RING OF DEATH. My question to the XBA tribe is should I register my console now and start my 3 year warranty process or wait to see if something goes wrong and then start the process??

To register or not to register??

I just read the article on \"New repair website for Xbox 360\" and it got me to thinking. I had my Xbox 360 since December 2006 but it was built in June 0f the same year.
So far I haven\'t had any problems with it or the dreaded RED RING OF DEATH. My question to the XBA tribe is should I register my console now and start my 3 year warranty process or wait to see if something goes wrong and then start the process??

They already have you on file from Live. By setting it up ahead of time, you just speed up the repair process if you should ever need it....

Usually the people who have problems with their 360 either a.) used the earlier versions of the intercooler or b.) put their 360 in a confined space with no room for ventilation. I never have had any problems with my console and I bought mine on my birthday in april of 2006.

Sorry system x, but both of those statements aren't anywhere near the main reasons for consoles going bad. Bad disk drives, overheating and video output issues (freezing) are you top reasons.
I can also vouch for the Intercooler, having spoken directly with NYKO and Microsoft on that topic, and the Intercooler is NOT a cause for consoles having three-read rings.

Yea I realize that now after talking to xbox on the phone. also found out that the 3 year plan ONLY covers your system if you get the red ring and everything else is under your regular one year from date of purchase coverage.

no, but it does melt itself to your power plug in since it sucks power from the console, it almost did it to me, but I was smart enough to notice it BEFORE it happened, take it from someone who isnt trying to decieve you first hand.

I am serious syztem, this is nothing more than rampant internet garbage perpetuated by the Xbox.com forum and clueless phone support workers. I spoke directly with Chris Arbogast (Marketing manager at NYKO) and also with several members of the Gamerscoreblog crew in Chicago (John Porcaro, Tony Hynes and Chris Paladino) about this very topic. It is pure netshit started for whatever reason.

Im not saying it relates to the rings, but it screws your system up greatly, and they are only speaking about the new remade ones! Who cares anyways, the intercooler is garbage...didnt do shit for my system, its just fine with nothing.

I use the use the intercooler on my system then it started to make funny noises so i took it off. Haven't put it on since because I was afraid of frying my system.

Anything made by nyko is absolute waste of space. I totally regret spending my hard earned money on that sweatshop they call a company, period.

Why? Because I first hand experienced Nykos garbage products? If I seen the owner of the company first hand, Id give him/her a 3-piece right to the jaw.
