MY only 'issue' with this is that points are the new equivalent of "high scores" from back in the day, sort of a testament of skill right? If cats are just stackin on easy games, the Gscore kinda loses meaning.

UHHH no, high scores are high scores as in LEADERBOARDS.... duh>??

It takes effort if you have to play the game at all. If the achievement points are so easy to get that is the creator's fault NOT the gamer and it doesn't mean the person ISN'T having fun while playing. So what if someone plays sports games, movie games, or certain FPS's to get achievements that are easy. Easy doesn't mean lack of fun or just playing for achievements. The only problem you should ever have with someone with 50-100+ k is if they are game saving, that is EFFORTLESS. There will always be games that come out that have easy achievements and some games that the achievements are so hard you can play the game a million times and still not get some of them. Just because you play a super hard game that's impossible to get all the achievements doesn't make you the most hardcore gamer out there...

I make an exception for XBLA titles. I don't get MS points all that much so I try to get as many XBLA titles as possible meaning free ones I def. download. And I try to be a completionist... which is why I got 185, the last one takes way to much time.. And call of duty 2 was a quality game and it was challenging and fun to get a 1000 in? I didn't make this thread to offend anyone, I thought I made it sound that way? Quote where I said "Props...".

Gears of War achievements aren't hard they just take a lot of time, what if you don't own the game, there is no way you can 1k it..... just because some gamers have a high gamerscore doesn't mean they brag about it either, usually it's the person with way less dissing them probably because they are jealous.

I don't know now that I've heard everyone's oppinion, I don't know what to say I'm confused. Like I said a bunch it's a mindstate. Im not trying to say I'm better than anyone, I just like the fact (I take pride in the fact..) that everytime I check the list of games I've played all together that they took time and they where all top notch quality games. I don't care what other people think of the games, but most of the games I played I would think would have got some media attention/good rating/or popularity for a good reason.

I would love to have 100k, I'll admit I could be jealous a "little bit". But how long does it take to get that much? I've been playing for exactly a year now today and have close to 35k, with all games I think to be pretty decent, no crazy easy grabbing games... I'm not sure where I'm going with this so I'll finish this reply and see what you guys say and take it from there.

Edit..
I won't play some games because I dont want them on my gamercard aka Disney games because they where rated poor or the reviews where bad. I' don't care what people think of what game I play if it was honestly kind of tough to get the achievements.. I started Indiana Jones.. the disc broke. (That games time consuming..) And just 1k'd Viva Pinata with no internet connection for an achievement guide.. That was pretty time consuming, no five year old would be able to do that I'm sure. Five year olds being who the game was aimed at generally. :p

let me put it this way...
i don't care about my GS. i care about completing my games. and yes, i'm quite like you SCG, i take pride that most of my games aren't easy 1Ks. i have a few in there, like nba 2k6 and TMNT and all that, but that was a temporary waffle fest for me, trying to beat mini in a FGS competition hahahaha.

i'm proud as hell that i completed fear. if anyone else has done it, they know how much frustration and dedication it takes. if you can do something like that, it shouldn't matter what other games you have under your belt, lol.

but yeah, GS means nothing to me. the only thing that sucks is how compulsive i am with completing my games. my average completion rating is over 90% but to maintain this there are many good games i won't play, based just off of the achievements. the 360 has ruined me! lol

I consider XBLA games. There just slimed down versions of retail games GFX don't matter it's all about gameplay. Castle Crashers amazing multiplayer rpg. N+ amazing multiplayer/singleplayer (Very hard to get 200GS), The Maw had 3d graphics, was very fun not challenging but intuitive and fun, Alien Homind fun, nice to look at, challenging. I'll stop there.
