My hate for EA just went up another notch. Just GF'd another copy of mercs 2 . still no achievement, probably profile related, I might go see if I can get it on another profile, and if it unlocks there, well I may have to make sure that I never get another pandemic/EA game untill they patch this.
RAGE*
I just went offline, went over to a different profile on my xbox (not even silver) spend a little time on it to get to a point where I had a rifle, shoot 50 drivers achievement unlocked. No problem. But on my profile...Ive done it over time after time, different characters, clearing cash, deleting all my game data. co-op,single player, 2 different disks. Still no achievement. EA is getting an email.

Wow, for someone who hates EA you sure play enough of there games. I'm starting to think you really don't hate them.
The thing is they are very good at making there games look good. anyone, this isnt a new game to me I had it since its release, due to me liking the first mercenaries. This was the game that started my dislike to EA
So once there are no games coming out right now that interest me I decided to give this one another go for the completion. Within the first 10 minutes it froze my xbox lol.

I love this thread. It alows me to say something completly irrlavent while still being on topic without making a new thread over a completly pointless matter. Its really a same that no one uses it. Also, more pointless threads have been turning up... what a coincidence.
Anyway, onto the actual "shooting of the breeze'.
Yea...school starts again in less then 10 hours....
It sucks.

I'm glad I'm done with school, have been for awhile now. Been playing a lot of my old games lately because my 360 is broke.

I have had the flu since last Tuesday, might have developed into walking pnemonia...either way, tomorrow is my last day of chill time...back to the daily grind Thursday
So I guess I'll be gaming quite a bit tonight when the wifey goes to sleep...She does nothing but bitch when I crank on the 360 unless I'm playing a game with her.

I got a free deck thing of "Magic the Gathering" cards at work today. I don't like Magic...or even know what it is, but it was free so i took it lol. Free stuff for the win!
Anyone play it, or know what it is? It sounds really confusing to me.

It's a card game based on 5 colors which represent types of mana.
White, which comes from plains; green, which comes from forests; black, which comes from swamps; red, which comes from mountains; blue, which comes from islands.
Each of these colors has certain aspects associated with them, and while some colors may have minor aspects of a different color, you generally know what you're getting with each one. Green will have big creatures that take a lot of mana, red is good for quick but small damage, white is good at healing and protecting, black is good at debilitating effects and abusing players' graveyards, and blue has some weird creatures and crazy deck effects, like making the other person draw till they run out of cards.
You make a deck of about 60 cards usually, with 24 or so of them being "land" cards. The rest of the cards are either going to be creatures, spells, or items/artifacts.
You flip a coin or use some other method to decide who goes first. That player draws 7 cards and then takes the first turn. Then the other player draws their 7 and takes their turn. The game goes back and forth with each player drawing 1 card per turn (unless they have cards that enable drawing more).
Generally, you will play 1 land card per turn, and each land card will give you 1 mana of its type. Once you have played 2 mountains and a swamp, for example, you would have 2 red and 1 black mana available to summon a creature or cast a spell.
Crap I was trying to keep this succinct but it's already long. There is a Magic: the Gathering game on XBLA called Duels of the Planeswalkers, I recommend you download the trial as it will let you play a few times and teach you how the game works, what order turns go in, etc.
If you decide you like it and buy the full version, feel free to shoot me a FR and we'll play sometime! I've been playing MtG for a long time. I'm not good by any means but I just enjoy playing it and reading all the nerdy crap on the cards and whatnot. There's neato backstory-type stuff if you pay attention.
