I read that the old RockBand instruments WILL work with rockband2. But the new instruments will be "more realistic looking, and quieter".

I still need to get the first Rockband! The only thing that kept me from getting the first one is the fact that I game mostly by myself. It would be pretty boring "rocking out" by myself lol

The big kicker is all of the DLC for RB1 will automatically load into RB2 when you play....so.......RB2 will have MORE to offer than GH:WT...IMO
There was some poll (IGN) that said ppl were looking forward to RB2 than GH anyway.
