This movie was laughably bad. I know that's what they were going for but Danny Trejo looked like he didn't know what to do with himself in a lead role for first time. I can't believe DeNiro signed on for that. I still found it better than Planet Terror. Rodriguez should've just made this his half of the Grindhouse double feature.

Eh, I liked the movie, but I just can't say that I loved it. The story was pretty decent, but the movie was batshit crazy at times. For example at the end
when the Hagrid-like guy walks over to the box in the fire, and gets turned into a dragon!? I mean, wtf? The part when "Hagrid" ate the bugs in the pet shop was pretty freaky too imo.

You're fucking crazy....Planet Terror rocks.
You're just saying that cause your weewee jumps for anything "zombie".
Shit was mad funny. I cried multiple times, couldnt stop smiling/chuckling, and almost puked.
Definitely one of the best sci-fi horror flicks ever made. I had only ever seen it in bits and pieces so I finally sat down and watched the whole thing tonight. I'm not usually one to nit-pick about continuity but...
They made a point to illustrate how the young guy's eye pop when he tries to blow himself out of the airlock but Lawrence Fishburne doesn't lose his eyes when Sam Neil's character blows the porthole on the flight deck later on?

Agreed!
I think it would have gottena lower score but I love these kind of movies. Also, it has Russell Crowe in it. Because Gladiator is one of my all time favorites I go into evey Crowe movie thinking he is going to be great. Im not saying he is bad just so-so. I have been giving him a pass since like 2000 when Gladiator came out.
Anyways as far as the movie, its a prequel of most the Robin Hood stories I have ever heard. It wasnt bad really just could have been WAY WAY better.
