Racism/Assholes ruining GoW!

I am getting really tired of the number of assholes and the racism I encounter on a nightly basis online. Sometimes the racism or excesive trash talking or insulting is not even directed at me, but at a friend, but I can't tolerate that shit anymore. I've left more Negative Feedback and filed more Complaints than some small third world coutries' entire populations.

I know the best way to silence these fools is to 0wn them in the game, which I've done at times, but even that is not enough at times. They'll just get more mad, and even more insulting.

I would like to play GoW with people that just wanna have fun. Yeah, competing is good and all, but what's the point of playing if you can talk a little bit of FRIENDLY smack afterward without resorting to racist comments, and outlandish insults.

Send me a FR if you wanna play GoW for fun. I play nearly every night.

Yea I can't stand that crap either. I not very good at the GoW and probably won't ever be, but people yelling at me because I suck isn't cool either. Hell I know I suck!

Yeah, yelling at people because their new to the game or are struggling, only pushes them to perhaps quit the game, or not play anymore. This would happen to me on Halo 2, as I got up to the higher levels in the game, late 20s, early 30s. I would struggle at times, and people would say really stupid things, which I won't repeat here.

But yeah, hit me with a FR, we'll play, and maybe I can teach you a thing or two.

I won't be home for another 6 hours though, as I am at work right now. It is almost 11 A.M. right now.

EDIT: I just noticed that you and I both have a 316 after our GTs, lol
What does yours stand for?

Whenever I host a Match Play game, I don't allow racist comments (those people are promptly kicked/negatively reviewed), nor excesive taunting, but I don't like hosting too much because it completely unbalances the game, I play WAY better when I am hosting than when I am not, and I would much rather have the challenge of not hosting and going up against the host than starting out having an advantage.

You deciding NOT to play online anymore, is EXACTLY the decision that I think a lot of people have come to, on account of all of the negative shit surrounding online play. It's bad enough to have to deal with cheaters, glitches in games, lag, and a steep learning curve, going up against people that play nearly 24/7, but to have to deal with racist/sexist/homophobic comments constantly is sometimes too much.

This is why I wanna try and minimize how often I play against random people, and begin playing against people I know.

So send a FR, and lets GoW. I am on almost nightly (when XBL is not down,

) around 5 P.M. EST.

I leave Negative Feedback and File Complaints (when absolutely necessary) all the time, but I am not so sure how effective this system really is. Regardless, my point in all this, is to say to people that are turned off to the game as a result of the racist asses online that there is an alternative to playing them, the alternative is playing with/against responsible people that don't hide behind the relative anonymity of online multiplayer.

In other words, play people in your Friend's List, and the more people in your Friend's List the better.

One last thing, ALL CAPS, implies that you are YELLING, which I hope you weren't since my hearing is perfectly fine, even in my old(er) age, thank you very much.

On a more serious note, I have quit playing online unless I am playing with people I know. Whenever I play with people I don't know, I play like shit, and I encounter many more assholes. If any of you want to play online, ranked or not, hit me up! I'm sick of some people on this game...

I agree with you man, I have quite a few friends from Puerto Rico who only do player matches now. They got tired of all the racist comments and banter.
I find that the racism isn't as bad when it's a group of random players.
But when you have teams of friends, it goes ungodly bad.

I mean, I'm whiter than white. But my name is Japanese, so I get alot of racist shit when I first enter a room. So yeah, it is pretty bad.

I mean there is playful shit talking.
Butrunning your mouth when you win and shifting blame when you lose is just childish. My suggestion, just turn down the volume after each round in a match. Then turn it back on when the next round starts.

There will always be douche bags. If you stop playing, it only leaves people like them in the game. So, they actually end up winning.

Well not only does the racist crap piss me off, but also the auto-booting when someone doesn't talk or have a mic. I understand the frustration of the host when he/she's trying to talk to someone and tell them to switch teams and they wont and they dont have a mic, but in my case, i got the wireless mic for christmas and i only really talk to my friends with it. During most matches i mute it and just listen, for the most part because i hate forcing conversation, i already have to do it ten-fold working at both a gamestore and a movie theater. But when i get booted because i dont talk and they dont say anything for me to respond to, i get pissed off. I just hate the ignorance and sheer stupidity of ALOT of people on XBL, i think thats one of the reasons i play World of Warcraft soo much. That and because.... IM ADDICTED.....
P.S. if someone knows anyone good at WoW interventions, i need one.

HaHa - Dan, you sound like I was when I played Lineage II. People who have never played an MMO have no idea why it gets so addicting.

It is something to be experienced first hand to really understand why you can't just save at any given point!
