yeah ive heard a lot of racist and sexist crap on gow. there happend to be a chick playing and some dude heard her and automatically started screaming SLUT SLUT, which was supper annoying. so thats why i dont even want to play it online unless its co-op with a friend. i have more fun doing that then anything. im actually enjoying rainbow six online more havent ran into any crap on there.
I've seen stuff like that too. To me, when I see/hear that a player is a girl, I am happy to see that a girl is playing GoW. But then some 19 year old with the brain of a 9 year old says something mean and the girl leaves.
Whenever I host a Match Play game, I don't allow racist comments (those people are promptly kicked/negatively reviewed), nor excesive taunting, but I don't like hosting too much because it completely unbalances the game, I play WAY better when I am hosting than when I am not, and I would much rather have the challenge of not hosting and going up against the host than starting out having an advantage.
You deciding NOT to play online anymore, is EXACTLY the decision that I think a lot of people have come to, on account of all of the negative shit surrounding online play. It's bad enough to have to deal with cheaters, glitches in games, lag, and a steep learning curve, going up against people that play nearly 24/7, but to have to deal with racist/sexist/homophobic comments constantly is sometimes too much.
This is why I wanna try and minimize how often I play against random people, and begin playing against people I know.
So send a FR, and lets GoW. I am on almost nightly (when XBL is not down,
) around 5 P.M. EST.
