Atari seems to have been quite busy this week; the company announced yesterday, at the Atari Live showcase in London, that they would be bringing The Witcher: Rise of the White Wolf to next gen consoles. The company has said that Rise of the White Wold is "based on the story of multi award-winning million-selling PC role-playing game the Witcher, and completely rebuilt pixel by pixel for the new generation of console." Hefty praise...
The Witcher has always looked pretty cool, but I find myself passing up PC games in the store to head straight for the 360 display case. So, much similar to how I felt about F.E.A.R., I am pretty excited about this. The game is tenuously dated for an Fall 2009 release. RPG fans can slate their appetite with a few screen shots:
