Do you play all the way through everything on the demo disc every month and try to keep adding to your "demo disc gamerscore"?
Is anyone else getting discs that always seem to start skipping when the CD-Rom drive spins faster than normal? For some reason, every single month this happens to me. I actually ran across some people saying that boiling the disc for a couple of minutes fixes the problem, LOL. Yes, and I even tried it a couple of times and it actually does work.
I was just kind of curious how many other people actually pay for this magazine subscription anymore, seeing as how the internet has a lot of the information faster than it reaches print.
I personally still enjoy getting magazines in the mail every month, because I have a lot more free time away from the PC to read. The demo disc is nice every now and then to play demos I wouldn't download or play any other day of the week.
I had a subscription to the Official Playstation Magazine up until this month's last issue ever for that magazine. They have closed the doors for it, and the balance of my subscription is being moved over to EGM. I am curious if a lot of the magazines are going this route, because people surf the internet for their information more than reading magazines anymore.
I also have been a long time member of Nintendo Power, just for nostalgic reasons mostly, but it is nice to see what is coming out for the Wii and DS, when I am not surfing those websites.
Anyway, I thought it would be interesting to see how many people still have subscriptions to some of these magazines.
