No not this E 74 stuff

So i was playing my Xbox and everything was fine. I turned it off and then came back from a 5hr nap and xbox wouldnt turn on. WTF i have heard so many horror stories about gettin it repaired is there anything i can tryor should i jus start now in getting it repaired. This will mess up my holiday...

ummm... it's either a/v input failure or a blown scanner chip... you can switch cables to see if it's the cables, otherwise, you have to send it in...

blown scanner chip? wtf?! i could of sworn it was a warped ding module on the left bus device where it enters the kanibling ring access point on the lower input port terminal? maybe that's e72, idk?
or maybe you just have a loose cable?

Wow you are speaking a entire new language to me with all that tech stuff. I think i am just going to send it in today and hope for the best. I know it the holidays so this will take forever.

It's a video issue. I got the same thing on my 2+ year old console (first one too). Machine works fine if it's cool. About 15-20 mins of playing the screen starts getting green snow. Rebooting gives me the e-74 error. There is a hardware repair fix you can do yourself if you can handle taking your 360 apart and doing some minor electronics repair work or you can send it in. Mine was well beyond warranty and I wanted a newer console with hdmi so I just bought a new one. I may go back and repair my old one....one day.

yeah i sent it in today i know i wont have it till the end of Jan. but that's cool. I guess i could use a break from being a gamer for awhile. Its kinda upsetting but i will manage.
