I played the first two Splinter Cells, but never got a chance with Chaos Theory. I've also never played Metal Arms; maybe if Microsoft ever decides to lower the price of Xbox Originals I'll check them out.

New Xbox Originals Available Next Week
04/15/08 10:56 pm | #1
This Monday, two more Xbox Originals will be added to the ever-growing list: Splinter Cell: Choas Theory and Metal Arms - Glitch In The System. Both will be available starting April 21st, at the usual Xbox Originals price of 1200 Microsoft Points.
I played the first two Splinter Cells, but never got a chance with Chaos Theory. I've also never played Metal Arms; maybe if Microsoft ever decides to lower the price of Xbox Originals I'll check them out.

This could happen if people do not buy these...

Probably will never happen according to multiple interviews with Microsoft execs. That would require not just making the games work on the Xbox 360, but redeveloping large portions of the games. They would almost be better of recreating some of these as XBLA titles or reinvent the Xbox Originals and present these with achievements and upgraded graphics and other tweaks...

The only game I felt was good to buy was Fable because my original xbox disc got messed up....

Agree 100%.
The only way I would pay 1200MS for one of these is if it had updated graphics and features.
Even if they added Achievements, I still wouldn't pay more than $10/800MS for the one I actually want (Dreamfall) because that's a huge chunk of my HDD it'd be taking up.

I wish people would stop bitching about the gamerscore thing. There was once a time when you would spend upwards of fifty dollars on a game with no gamerscore, and you know what? You would have FUN. Lots of fun. Splinter Cell: Chaos Theory is twenty bucks at my gamestop, so I'll be saving money with that. And another game I bought, Psychonauts, cost two dollars more on XBL, but I got to sit on my ass and watch Scrubs while it was downloading. It's a convenient, fast service, and if they add gamerscore, so be it. I used to be a huge gamerscore whore but since I started buying these that has pretty much went away. The XBL originals did that for me. They are my savior. They are my church and my god. Do not berate them.
