As you all know, I hate censorship and believe in freedom of speech even in privately owned mediums. However, sometimes some people's expressions need to be suppressed, controlled or at least directed in order to appease the maximum number of people and prevent discordance.
Right now we have a mix of people who are seeking different things through their experiences at Xbox America. Some are looking to have some fun, not necessarily related to Xbox 360 gaming. Some are looking to make some new friends, to game with or not. Some are looking for gaming information. None want the site monopolized by others. My goal here is to make everyone happy through compromise.
From now on, I'm going to begin moderating the forums. I expect all threads to remain on-topic, and all off-topic discussion should be directed towards the Off-Topic forum, private messages, the chat or shoutboxes. Additionally, I expect everyone to respect each other, and each others' intentions in using Xbox America. If someone posts something you're not particularly interested in, move on.
If necessary, I'll create a more stringent list of rules; hopefully this will be enough for now.
