I guess, when it comes down to it, there are some that care far more about their ranking than others.

For myself, it's about giving something to the community, whether it be good posting or reviewing games that people want to know about.

I'd say just try to not let it get to you.

I've been slightly inactive for awhile due to the rapid amount of posts we've been having. I've been here from the beginning too and I remember the days when you wouldn't see a new post for days. Now, every minute there is a new post. On one hand, I feel this is great. It shows how far the site has come. On the other hand though, I feel like a lot of the posts are just trying to up the post count, with things like "Ok" or "Haha". I have been guilty of this at times too, but as I stand back and look at this from the outside I see where it can be a problem. I think it would be great to have a character minimum for posts and just have posts that really give an opinion to the community and not just useless drivel. Sorry if this came out a little harsh.

i enjoy leaving replies and making threads on this site knowing that i can learn news about games and hear if the new games coming out are any good and as house was saying it is a very friendly place and its nice being able to meet new people to get a chance to game with. and the rank is pretty cool but i think people who join a website and then dont have anythin to do with it is just stupid.

That's why I have a large post count. In the early days I would go nuts if I came here and didn't see a new post. Thats why I always played the "haha" or "lol" game. Simply so people would have something to read even if it wasn't worth it. I try not to do that anymore because it's taken care of for me and I don't mind it. I try only to post if I have something useful to say or if I find something hilarious (Halo Nights).

I could care less about the ranks. I am here because this site is much better than others. The forums and community members are awesome. For those that just want the rank...oh well.

I have brought this up in the past. It sometimes seemed like people just wanted there posts counted. I will not mention names but one month equals 1000 posts...JMB has been here for a long time and doesn't even have that many. Like i have said before and i will say it again. I enjoy the company not the bullshit. What that means? I enjoy my xbox not a number!

Here here to that. I really like Pasta's idea of separating the active and inactive leaderboards. UK's idea sounds good in theory, but then you just get a bunch of posts with spaces, or stupid smiley faces just to fill up the character minimum. I don't think there's much you can really do, aside from separating and ignoring it. I know I was inactive for quite a while without any warnings (which I'll try not to do again), but I enjoy coming here and reading all the new posts. This is actually the only forum I really frequent

Well I myself have been slowing down the past few days. I'm trying to make it so that when I post, it's something significant. But to say that active posting is lowering the community, that's kind of silly.

i just found this sight like 4 days ago and i find it very homey i guess is a good word to describe it...of the 5 topics ive left comments on it seems like the same members are talking in them and that says something about this sight...its like were family once you sign up and participate in the talk...im just happy to be here and could care less what my title is for leavin posts

yeah that did sound wrong but he does have a point. I spend so much time on this site I been updating my friends list to actually play with most of the people I chat with on here. I think it works better when your playing a game with someone you actually chat with. I this site change my view of posting site because its just fun to have the convo. I use to care about my rank in city but not so much anymore. its more about the community

I think the titles are fun. I wonder what's after Smacktard. It becomes 'family' like because usually the same people post on here and if there are any outcast then they only post a few times and leave the site, or some people like to visit and read what people say rather than talk.

Yea this decision would get my vote for sure. I just hope they don't go to the spam technique and get their post count up to be counted as "active"
