Microsoft offers new 60GB HDD bundle for $99

Microsoft unveiled a 60GB LIVE Starter Pack for all those people that bought Core, Arcade and Pro 360s over the last three years. Obviously there will be a need for some serious storage with Netflix and the NXE (not to mention those 500+ Band Game songs) coming in a short time. The pack is $99 and will include a 60GB HDD, Xbox 360 Headset, Ethernet cable and three-month Xbox Live gold subscription. Unfortunately, it has a little pork in it, as many Xbox 360 owners already have a gold-subscription, ethernet cables and 360 headsets lying around. How about just offering the 60GB drive for $75 and call it a day?

That's still not a bad deal and I can always find uses for an extra cable. You can add the 3 month live gold to your account or use it later for a stocking stuffer. Also how many people can only send a text mesage because they broke their mic. It would seem like a bunch, or maybe it's just Lost Planet players are morons.

I'm going to wait until I see the NXE and get netflix but I'm seriously thinking about getting this. You can always use an extra everything that it comes with like tk said. Z's right though, if you have everything then they should just offer the HD FOR 75BUX.

I don't know about you but I rarely see the 20GB anymore. They might have the ones left that they haven't sold but it seems to me they are going to discontinue them. We had them at K-mart before and they clearanced them down to like 20 bucks! They will probably do that at most stores or drop the price to like 50$
