I can't believe they are making a movie for him. Kinda figures because people try to make $$ off the dead, BUT maybe now they can pay for his fucking funeral?
last i checked, he didnt have a "fucking funeral" because 1. thats called a massive orgy, and 2. thatd be considered necrophelia...
i just felt id point that out >->

If the post-mortem reports are to be believed, he had great taste in pharmaceuticals.
I really enjoyed most of his music videos, and I loved his crazy sense of style that started to show more and more as his career progressed. I don't care about any of the "scandal" stuff, as an artist/entertainer I think he was pretty neato.

It means he was like Elvis and addicted to pills. Elvis was such a hyporite in that regards. He was all anti-drug and hung out with Nixon saying he wanted to help with the war on drugs all while he had a pill addiction to rival any junky. He was a starch anti-marijuana enthusiast.

Michael Jackson was the shit. There will never be anyone like him, just like there will never be another band like the Beatles. The world will never see another talent like him.

The child molestation thing is a double edged sword, imo.
Yes, some people will do anything for money, but at the same time, any famous person can do any crime like that and then pass it off as the people are just trying to get money.
My take on it is this:
If he was innocent, why pay to settle out of court? Fight it and prove your innocense. Paying to settle screams guilty, in my personal opinion.

i thought he was just an alcoholic (elvis, that is) didnt know he had them pillz...
and tbh, i can see mj as bein a pill addict. or well, a med addict in general. i read a story about how 4 days before his death he had asked his nurse to give him this one type of anesthetic, but she didn't cause it had the possibility to kill him, tho he said he just "wanted some sleep" and supposedly they found 4 of those um...injector things (the things doctors use to give you shots for like anesthetics or whatever) and they had traces of the anesthetic in them...so i think that mighta killed him (an accidental suicide, basically) but idk...

I can definitely appreciate your opinion on this, but at the same time, if I had a large amount of money I would rather throw some of it at problems to make them go away rather than a drawn-out legal battle where I'd keep having to cut into studio or personal time to go to court just to sit there and listen to BS.

You make a good point, I guess I never thought of it that way.
But on topic, he has had some great songs.
My personal opinion of him is he got weird in the last 5 years or so.

I don't think anyone can actually say if he was guilty or not just because he decided to settle out of court. No matter if he fought it and won, he would have still been considered a child molester...just because of that old saying that you can do good your whole life but if you do one thing bad....THAT is what you will be remembered for, and nothing you do from that point on will change ANYBODIES mind.
Now someone correct me if I am wrong, but was R Kelly proven innocent from all that stuff he went through? People are still talking about "him" peeing on that little girl.
I agree with Meta though, IMO, if I had millions of dollars and someone was trying to sue me, I would try and settle out of court, sometimes you can come out on top and not have to pay as much as you would if you let it go to court and have a judge decide how much you pay.
