I just got back from the movie Max Payne and let me tell you something...that myth where it says the movie based on a video game is garbage....is over...This movie was awesome, and stayed true to the video game to every extent....It even incorporated the "pain killer" mode (I believe that was the name of it in the game, it's been a while since I played it to remember some stuff) Graphics were good, remind me of the movie 300 (i believe someone that had to do with the movie 300 had something to do with this movie as well, and it shows)
The story was great, although the end of it kind of dissappointed me having to deal with.......well, i wont say anything to ruin it for anybody...But overall, I thought it had a great story.
Ludacris was in this movie. Don't get me wrong, I believe Ludacris is a good actor, but I think there are certain roles that some actors aren't cut out for. He was good in 2 Fast 2 Furious...But I believe a role such as this should have been left to a more qualified actor, you could tell Ludacris isn't a very experienced actor, nothing big...but there are subtle details throughout the movie that give him away. He is a good actor, when dealing in certain roles....and a serious role such as this ( he played in I.A. Agent) is not for him, at least not yet anyway.
All in all people, this movie did not let me down at all...There were plenty of "OH SHIT!" moments in the movie that I shared with everyone in the theatre...lol..One moment was a guy asked Max Payne "What?...Are You A Cop Or Something?!" and Max Payne looks at him...shows the guy his badge...and says "Not Tonight"....in which I busted out with an "OH SHIT!" (as in ...he is about to fuck you up, haha)
Do yourself a favor and go see this movie...If you do not like it, I apologize, but this movie was great in my opinion. I gave you my reveiw on The Dark Knight...And now I have contributed my review of Max Payne, I do not believe there is another actor that could have played the role of Max Payne, any better than Mark Wahlberg did.
Goodnight Folks!
