So I'm thinking of picking up a new game when I get Condemned 2 this week, since Best Buy is giving out free $10 gift cards if you buy it there. I'm trying to think of some titles I've missed that I might be interested in, and I came up with a handful that I don't really know too much about. I figured I'd ask any who have played them what they think of 'em:

Stranglehold - I really loved the demo, but there was just too much last fall to warrant me picking this up. Plus it's got multiplayer, so that might keep it spinning a little longer than normal.

Lost Planet - I loved the original demo that came out for it, but didn't care much for the multiplayer demo.

Tom Clancy's Rainbox Six: Vegas - I never played the demo for this, but I did play the original Rainbow Six for the N64 and loved it. Nothing cooler than taking down tangos with a partner. Assuming this has good multiplayer and co-op, could this warrant a good purchase?

King Kong - Would a $20 price tag make this a good purchase? I don't really know how long it is, but I do remember this being the first game I played when the Xbox 360 demo station hit GameStop and being floored at the graphics.

So uh, thanks for any input.:D

Well like I said, these are all games that I missed out on for one reason or another. And from what I've read on Metacritic, they might not be flashy and new, but they're certainly not "crappy."

There's nothing wrong with picking up an older game if it's good, and that's what I'm trying to gauge.

Ill give Rainbow Six a vote because like you, I also played the nintendo version... on the other hand good luck choosing your "classics"
Re: Help Deciding What To Get Next...
I've rented Lost Planet and gave it a twirl about, it was alright, I personally got bored with singleplayer quickly, and multiplayer was enough to warrant the rental.

Though, the Rainbow Six Vegas demo(s) were good, and I thought about picking up that and/or Stranglehold pretty soon.

Based on your list here, I would definitely say R6 Vegas.
It has a fun, meaty single-player campaign and the co-op is very fun if not as neatly organized.

The multiplayer is one of the best aspects of it as any serious players will tell you.

Yeah i'll be getting Rainbow as well. Another game that you may want to try out is "The Club", it's a different kind of shooter with more emphasis on speed / style of kills than anything else. If you like to constantly improve your high scores and fast paced action the club might be just up your alley.

Stranglehold or Rainbow six:vegas

Stranglehold has a great storyline and single player, but u cant find anyone online so that kind of sucks
While
Rainbow six:Vegas has a total opposite, imo the single player sucks and the multiplayer is pretty good (except for multiple glitches)

Its a preference over single player to online, also its FPS verses third person
