Halo 3 "First to Play" event info

Microsoft announced the details for the Halo 3 First to Play events being held in New York and San Francisco. The events will be at IMAX theaters in those cities and a chance to win tickets or copies of the game can be found at http://www.pontiac.com/halo3. See the release below for full details:

Pontiac Presents the Halo 3 "First to Play" Events on IMAX Screens in New York and San Francisco

As part of the "First to Play/First to Own" promotion for Halo 3, Xbox and Pontiac today announced that gamers will have the chance to play Halo 3 for the first time at one of two events planned in San Francisco and New York City next week.

This announcement comes on the heels of the recent news that Halo 3 has been completed and will be officially released on September 25. To celebrate the impending launch of the biggest entertainment event of the year, premiering Halo 3 on the biggest screen imaginable - IMAX - seemed only fitting. Gamers in attendance will have the chance to play the recently finished game projected on the world's largest IMAX screens.

For those interested in attending, gamers are encouraged to go to http://www.pontiac.com/halo3 for the chance to win tickets. Space is limited for these two big-screen events so ticket holders are encouraged to arrive early to insure admittance. Receiving an event invitation does not guarantee entrance.

In addition to these "first to play" events, site visitors also have a chance to be among the first to own Halo 3. One thousand lucky winners will receive the highly anticipated game by September 24, 2007; one day before Halo 3's commercial release. if you sign up for the first to own portion you have to unscramble this: AAMERGDIMCB
this contains the letters of a city and the state abbreviation

Well, I completed the challenge to be among the first to play. Essentially, it gives you a code and you have to print that out and be in line to get in the door. I'm thinking there will be a lot of people that are gonna be there, but not get in.

im just taking off the 25th from school and im just gunna play halo 3 non-stop until i beat the campaign. and im not the kind of person to take a 4 or 5 hour drive to something that theres a chance you wont be able to get into. while if you reserve a copy of halo 3 you will know that your going to get a copy.

I completed the first to play but got invited to play in San Francisco on sept 11 agrrrrggggggh!!

Use an anagram generator. That's how I figured out the new puzzle, Huntville, AL, within 10 minutes of the start of the contest.

LOL No I just plugged the scrambled word into Gogl and it spit out a thread where it was deciphered....
