Lol, I call the second one a completionist which is what I am, of course I will play crappy games, but not just for a few points, I will finish them and get the full 1000.
I think both have their ups and downs. Sometimes I hate being a completionist in the fact that I will play a crappy game and finish it just because it bothers me not to have done so. So I can't pick up a game play it for an hour get 20 achievement points and quit because its bad. I have to finish it all the freaking way because I'm stuck. So I would say its only good to be a completionist if you play mostly good games and check out the games before you buy them. A GS whore can play the game until they don't feel like it anymore and move on to the next one, but then of course should you really be proud of only easy achievements?
I too consider myself a completionist. I have played 107 games and have completed 74 (UNO will be the 75th by tomorrow). Though as you say you will finish a game because it bothers you not to have done so. I am the same way. I am starting to change my mind on this though.
I have played some terrible games that have driven me crazy, just in order to get 100% on them. I am playing space chimps right now and getting the racer achievements are driving me nuts. One of them is just a super pain.
I think that I am going to ease up on my completionist attitude. It is just so much of a pain sometimes.
I am starting to think "what's so bad about being 85% complete instead of 94% complete?" I mean who cares except me, right?
BTW...this completed games list is wrong...they are doing work on the site and most lists are wrong
