I was just wondering what everyones favorite town or place to hang around at in fallout 3. My personal favorites are the Republic of dave or Cantebury Commons.

i'm excited to read this, as i haven't even found these yet!
(spoilers)
i brutally murdered pretty much everyone in rivet town (minus the shopkeepers)
i love megatron (or whatever) the best so far cuz i have a house there and it's small.
haven't gotten into paradise falls yet (working on it)
minetown obviously isn't a town, lol.
that's all i've found so far. i'm loving this game more and more every minute.
(end spoilers)

I love going to the Museum of History (or whatever wherever you can find all of the friendly ghouls) and seeing the destroyed Washington Monument. Plus it's always fun killing the super mutants there with the Rock-It Launcher (I swear, that's gotta be the best weapon in a game ever).

is the rock it launcher powerful?
does it depend on what junk you put in it?
i don't use big guns, but i might try it out my next character.
i'm certainly not lacking in ammo with my small guns...
but the idea of grabbing pretty much anything and blasting things away appeals to me...

well it was a good buy at 60 bucks and now that it can be had for about a 1/3 of that, it's almost a no-brainer. it's 1000gs points and 99 achievements-the most allowed by ms for a single retail title.

Between Portal and Half life, The Orange box is a wonderful investment! Throw in Team Fortress for multiplayer, and you can't go wrong!!
That is one of few games that actually give you your money's worth!!
