ok, i found it. thanks to x360a for figuring this out. note: its a lil long, but....i think the one in lamplight may be easier, the first one seems a lil bit harder

There is an infinite speech challenge in Big Town to exploit. When you arrive, speak with Bittercup and agree with her that no one understands you. Once she talks about her dating Pappy, end the conversation and go talk to Pappy. Begin with "You came here with Bittercup, right?" and if he doesn't get upset you will win the challenge. Be warned though, if you do lose this challenge the loop will disappear. Try to make sure you have 100% success chance before using it.
I was able to find another infinite loop in Little Lamplight. You need high Intelligence for it though. Talk with Knock Knock and ask her what her job is. She will explain her role in helping morale and offer to tell a joke. Agree to hear it, but then you will have the option of interrupting the joke with an "

nuked megaton to a pile of rubble. i went from neutral to very bad, but its ok. im going to start slowly raising my karma back to neutral before level 8 (just gotta find a church or somethng to donate to, or stock up on purified water for those guys who want it) god tho, what a sight that nuking was~!

nuked megaton to a burning inferno of rubble w/ lots of radiation around it (note: this was my second char, so i dont care about bobble heads or anything on this one. this is just for Tenpenny Tower quest and lvl 8 karma achieves)
hmm...i think i could easily do that lamlight one then, as my INT is 10 because i used the Intense Training perk to raise it up a bit

I nuked Megaton on my first play through. Its actually quite a good sight. As for the lamplight speech challenge, it worked like a charm. The lie gave me a 100% chance and I just did it until I had 50. I just had to put up with the same stupid knock knock joke 45 times.
On another note, while randomly roaming around I finally discovered my 100th location for the achievement. Oddly it was the Temple of Union which has one of the remaining side missions that I need to complete. I'm glad I did some random roaming.
Edit: Also, my int was only at an 8 rating and it still gave me the 100% chance. So you should have no problems Taco.
Edit 2: Also Taco, you can donate to the church in Rivet City.

i really do want to get back to the game, and i will, but playing it is kind of depressing because i'm pretty sure i've found everything. i have 30K with nothing to buy, 500 stimpacks without ever needing to heal, more ammo and random junk than i know what to do with, lol.
at this point nuking megaton might be all i have left.
well, until the next DLC anyway.

i liked anchorage, duffman, but it's pretty short and linear. and you can't return to it once you've beaten it. you score some cool stuff though, and if you find all the intels or whatever you get a new perk at the end. i only found 8/10 though, so i don't remember quite what the perk is. the nice thing though is that you'll get all the achievements just by finishing it.
i really can't wait for the pitt!
