Lol i was having problems with my borderlands reading kept going to open tray but all my other games read so i thought it was the disc so i let my friend borrow it and it works on his. I jus got it back hope it was just a bad day and it will work now . i really want to complete the dlc

If you get this, do yourself a favor and either play it on a first playthrough game, or make sure you are higher than we are (40) before you try this DLC. So far this has been one of the most frustrating things I have ever been through as a gamer.
I never thought to check the mission level. I just wanted to play the DLC that I just paed too much for. I didn't think I was asking too much. I wish they would've just level the mission. WTF Gearbox?
Oh, also only the first player gets the mission achievements in split screen. This is a stupid, fucked up thing that was done for the DLC.

The game limits how much higher than you your partner can be. A level 1 can't join the game with someone over 30. I tried to join Evol's with a level 1 because I forgot to change characters and it kicked me out.
Just a couple of hours ago I joined a game with my buddies, I was a level 1 Hunter, all three of them were level 50. It let me play with them without a problem. I was power leveling some of the characters with them. I don't know why you had a problem joining his game like that.

Were you playing over Live or splitscreen? Had you already gone through the opening crap with the level 1 char? We were splitscreen, and it was an unmade character, so maybe that's the difference? It actually told me he was too high leveled! This game sucks so much ass!
To clear up what Evol said, the 2nd player CAN get achieves in the DLC... in fact Evol and I alternated every other one. It didn't matter whose game we were in and it didn't matter who turned in the quest. We ended up with him getting 3 and I got 2. When I started my own game to get the ones I missed, they didn't pop. -_-
I hadn't done anything with the characters before joining the game. I just jumped in and selected a new level one character. We were playing over xbox live. It gives a message saying that the others are at a much higher level than you, but you still get the option to join the game. I don't understand why it wouldn't let the two of you do it splitscreen.
I was in their game and got my soldier to level 50. Then jumped out and got an untouched character to power level. I wanted to have some good characters to grab the three achievements for using their action skills.
On topic, I just started the DLC today after finishing up the original 1000 in the game. I can tell that the brains thing is going to be kinda annoying.

you will indeed get the message, but if you hit A (accept) you can still play. if you hit B (exit) you get kicked. i started a game with my level 50 and jen joined with her level 1 with no problems. she sat there, and i got her to level 5 in a couple minutes. did that with all 3 characters she needed in 10 minutes total.
2 of these characters were completely brand new.
also, whoever hosts the game gets credit for the missions.
that's a little annoying, but nothing game breaking in my opinion.
