Wow, KSU, no, wow, absolutely not. I didn't know Ohio was so rough. I mean, me and my friends had our fights, but never blood. I would get mad and throw a toy at a friend. But don't worry KSU, I see where you're going with this. Now and days, games are so realistic, you wouldn't want to expose a kid to an actually victim who's been shot in the head, yet they see it everyday. So whats the difference?

Let me put you all in a situation for a moment. Your kid is watching WWE. He see's a cool move from his favorite wrestler, he replicates this move on a friend. The friend hits head on coffee table. Who's at fault? And similiar instances have happened.

hence my post above. thanks for making it more relevant lol

EDIT: and just to add old games had far more mature nature in some of their games. i remember as a kid my mom got me a puzzle game for the NES thinking it was just a puzzle game. little did she kno when u finish the puzzle and pop all the bubbles............there was a naked chick in the tub. yes full out nudity. yea the graphics sucked at the time but there were still boobs there. not a problem then but a huge problem now?? makes no sense to me. there is violence everywhere u look not just games

the problem doesn't lie with kids playing mature games. The problem is immature kids that have a few screws loose up top, go out a replicate what they see in the games. Then the mom sues

Thankyou Orange for proving some of my point, I was leading up to something by the way, but you beat me there. There are other way more actual violent things out there. It is just that most parents in MY BELIEF, can't say no to their children anymore now a days so they need an excuse to say no to them. Videogames are expensive hence most parents don't want to buy them so let say they are violent and bad for a child's upbringing!
Also LOL on the soda can story, my brother body slammed me out of our above ground pool once when I was growing up ah good times!

yes , but how old should you be before your kid should be playing left 4 dead or COD?
I mean, everyone acts like all kids, regardless of age should be allowed to play any game. Is that your opinion?

Damn you people post to fast, but yes to put it up front to th immature children that need guidance from their parents to see whats right and wrong. Just eliminating things does not fix problems, fixing problems fixes them, if that make sense.

well thats where my post from before fits where some parents say L4D is ok bc they are zombies but CoD is bad bc they r ppl. i think it all comes down to how mature the kid is a a certain age. it comes down to how u raise ur kids. so in all reality it is on the parents taking control of the situation which is the major problem now. i was at the zoo today and there were so many kids just running around and the parents not doing anything about it. parents seem to not care what their kids do and when it is pointed out to them they need to find any excuse they can to justify it.

depends do they have brothers or sister that can dumb it down to whoever is in question of playing this videogame? I start playing them when I was like 5-6 but then again it was just moving squares but I did feel a sense off lose when my tank was spinning helplessly in Atari combat! and when the dragon ate me in adventure.

I agree KSU

If my kid goes to school and beats up the smaller kids, and he says he got the idea from Bully the game, the first step to solving the problem is to stop letting him play Bully.

Isn't bully about a little kid getting revenge on everyone that picked on him?

I think the most violent thing that kid does is shoot pepole with a sling shot yes it hurt but its not gonna kill you, unless your Goliath.

I've been hit by one before it leave one hella bruise!

Bully is about a bad kid sent to a school with a bunch of other bad kids. So he's far from a victim. He becomes the bully so to speak.

Was doing some reading, bully seems to be some little kid dream about getting back at others and being the one in control of in crowd (aka the school),
Its stated he has a troubled home, hence leading to his shenanigans and unstability, aka lack of parenting.
Parent don't want to be blamed that it their fault, its like telling them they failed.
