I was not raised with a gun in the house, I was raised with a damn armory in my house, lol. Like I said in a previous post, I went to the gun range the other day and shot off ak 47's. So yes, guns do play a big role in a southern boys life. But they were off limits as a kid. Locked in a gun safe

Not one of your friends had a video game system?
But still if there was one available would your life have been different?
Did you play army, guns, war, or whatever verses your friend in the woods or feild growing up, and if so why is that different from the dreaded first person shooter?

when i worked at gamestop for the holiday i heard a lot of parents say it was ok to play games like halo bc they were killing aliens or L4D because they were killing zombies but not CoD bc they would be killing people. idk how well this reasoning works but i would say i heard it 10 to 15 times a day when i was there recommending games for gifts.

None of my friends had a game console. i can't say if my life would be different, cause I really don't know. We did play war, power rangers, and cowboys and indians. The real difference is that when I killed my friend, blood and guts didn't go every where. I see where you're coming from, I guess FPS is a really graphic version of cowboys and indians.

Ha, Red ranger all the way. He got all the ladies.
Story time....one time I was playing power rangers with some friends on my trampoline. My buddy chris's mom came down to take him home. He lost one she (which I threw in a bush) and his mom got so mad she beat him with a brush all the way home. I don't know where the brush came from, she didn't have a purse, its like she had it in a holster or something. Long story short, I feel bad about that.

If you want to know the wrong way to use a brush, come to my old neighborhood and loose a shoe. Compton ain't got nothing on our moms, lol.

hell not just games leads to that. watching wrestling did that for me. i smashed my one friend in the head with a full soda can while play wrestling and gave him a concussion lol plus i got knocked out by a dictionary at the school library while we were messin around in elementary school. games just get the bad rap now bc they have become so popular now and more and more adults are into gaming now forcing game companies to make more mature games. so since young ids get the systems and there is a chance for them to get a mature game they are all of a sudden horrible? imo its just a bunch of pissy moms who kno nothing about games and have no video games in the house making such a ruckus just to make themselves feel better about themselves.

Wow, KSU, no, wow, absolutely not. I didn't know Ohio was so rough. I mean, me and my friends had our fights, but never blood. I would get mad and throw a toy at a friend. But don't worry KSU, I see where you're going with this. Now and days, games are so realistic, you wouldn't want to expose a kid to an actually victim who's been shot in the head, yet they see it everyday in video games. So whats the difference?

Let me put you all in a situation for a moment. Your kid is watching WWE. He see's a cool move from his favorite wrestler, he replicates this move on a friend. The friend hits head on coffee table. Who's at fault? And similiar instances have happened.
