I'm more looking to sell my whole console with Hard Drive, but might have a friend who will buy the console without the Hard Drive. If so I'll hit you up with pricing.

Just use a memory card.
I don't have that kind of patience, 17gb of stuff transferred one thing at a time on a 256 mb memory card, plus many files are too big for the card. Thanks for the idea though.

I had a friend who transferred all of his 20 gb hdd stuff to a 120 gb hdd by means of a memory card and he said it took him a little while, and by little while I mean he told me it took like 2 and 1/2 hours to completely switch everything over! I got lucky and bought a 120 hdd for $50 from e-bay! I don't know how but I got it and it was brand new!! You might be able to get one off of there if Junior can't get that kit to you.

Microsoft used to send them to new Elite owners for free, but from what I've read they charge $13 now. Cheapest price I've seen. CAG has a few members who will loan one out if you just pay shipping both ways. As of right now that's my best option, though trading/buying one would be better.

Kent, I have an HD transfer kit. I have the wire unit in front of me now, I will find the CD later today and let you know here or in a PM when I have it together.

I think I have one of the old memory cards that was 512k. It's just big enough to move my gamer profile and if I am lucky, one saved game. I really need to upgrade.
I can not imagine how long it would take to move 20 gigs with that tiny little card.

I have one also, but I'm pretty sure I read that you can only use the transfer kit once... is this true?
By the way, I recently got my transfer kit for free. I had to print off a form from xbox.com, fill it out, and send it off via snail mail. Of course this took a while, but it was free nonetheless.

As far as I know, the "only once" rule applies to moving the data from a small HDD to a larger one, not the kit itself.
The manual tells you to discard it but, to my knowledge, people have been trading these for a long time for these very reasons.

Back guys....thanks for the offer Meta, but I found out after talking to my gaming neighbor that he had one. So I'm currently transferring all the data. Says it will take 1 hour and 23 minutes.....glad to not be trying to do it with a memory card
Again, thanks everyone for the quick offers/ideas. XBA rocks!
