So I was out 'n' about today and decided to stop in at GameStop to see what I could get for 30 bucks. I saw 4 copies of Fifa 08, used, and then looked at the prices. On 3 of them, it was $44.99, but the other one was $26.99. I grabbed the cheaper one and took it up and the guy rang it up and said that it was $47.69.
I nicely told the guy that I only had $30 and that if I didn't get it for the listed price I'd just go home without a game. He told me that apparently someone had put a new price tag over the old one for the upcoming release of Fifa 09 and that they don't go by the barcode, rather the game title and whether its used or new.
I thought that that was pretty shifty so I just told him again, that I get the price listed or he won't be getting my money. Then he told me that he was going to find a game that was $26.99 and my receipt would say that I bought that game instead of Fifa 08. I was just like "Yeah, whatever, just let me pay". He told me it'd be $28.61.
So I paid him and he tries to throw away my receipt, I told him I wanted it and he reluctantly gave it to me. Guess what? It had Fifa 08, not some other game. Yay, 20 bucks saved.
