Good Heavens!! we have been ungrateful (BTW this is not an aprils fools jk)

"Well, a rumor quite interesting and can not be ruled out entirely, in an MTV's blog there has published that, through internal sources, Microsoft would be working on a similar control to Wii-Mote console competition, specially sensor movement.

The company responsible for developing it would be the famous acquisition of MS, Rare, which lately has been working on projects capturing movement with the Vision Cam and has a secret project still undisclosed.

The rumour would explain the lack of concern from Microsoft for the second half of the year, because this time they'll plan to take control. According to the developer interviewed, the implementation of the control would allow developers of Wii to make a port of their games."

If history has told us anything, mock ups of peripherals by Gaming Websites usually are about 90% inaccurate. Kotaku's mock up apparently raped the colored buttons from the Xbox 360 controller, the big button from the Zune and the smaller Nexus Jewel from any number of peripheral images.

I am fine with Microsoft adding this option, much like the vision camera, to the Xbox 360. It opens the door to a new type of gameplay that the Wii has so far been able to capture. I'm sure it would come with a USB based receiver and a controller, probably for around $49.99 if I had to guess.

Having said that, the Wii is having sales success primarily because of its Gimmicky remote, low price and buzz. People I know that own multiple consoles pretty much have relegated the Wii to the background, breaking it out during party's or family gatherings, or when that unique must play game comes about.

Ok I own a WII (just got it last Thursday) and its pretty cool and it would be cool if XBOX were to tap into that market. All is fair in love and war and 360, WII and PS3 are at war for economic survival.

So M'soft do what you gotta do but please work on the design if that is the final product

Lol, at least if this proves to be true it will be a better answer than Sony's Sixaxis. I mean, at least Microsoft isn't even trying to hide the fact that they are ripping it off, ha ha ha.

Sony Exec: Nintendo is going to be big competition. I mean, they have motion-sensing controllers, so what do you got?

Ed...from accounting: Well, we've got this Sixaxis here. It looks and functions like our old controllers...but without the rumble. Though you can tilt it to give people the feeling like moving the controllers actually matters.

Exec: I LOVE IT!

Personally, if this is true I think that that is a little crafty of Microsoft: Now Wii-exclusive titles can be ported to the 360 without much of a problem. Though I'm not sure how well that would work; from what I understand, there are so many games on the Wii because it is so simple to develop for. And most people don't want to play them now, nevermind a crappy port to xbox 360 using a dumbass X-Mote...yea, that's a good name for it!

Most Wii titles would look like shit on the Xbox 360 or PS3 if directly ported. The Wii is a Standard Definition platform with processing capabilities about the equivalent of the PS2 or original Xbox. Anyone that has Bully: SE knows the best graphics you can get on a direct port, assuming they were up to that quality.

The problem with Nintendo Wii and DS is that there is so many trash games available for these two platforms. I mean they are like the Hooker of the video game console industry, attracting anything and everything that has a fistful of dollars and the desire for a quick turnaround time....
