360 (Finally) Outsells PS2

With the hyped up release of Blue Dragon and the consumer shift from PS2 to PS3 in Japan, the 360 has krept up and pushed the PS2 off it's pedestal, selling 5,000 more units than the Playstation 2 in Japan. Even though the 360 has been out for over a year now, until recently the Playstation 2 was the market dominator. I'll agree, the PS2 was an awesome system, and I'll admit that while I do have an older PS2 that works fine downstairs in my house, I am considering picking up one fo the slim silver ones after the holidays for my room. I'm trying my best to hold out until they drop to $100. Once they do, you better believe I'll be going and picking one up. Gotta give it up to Microsoft, though: They finally broke through the Japanese market, which rarely buys anything that it doesn't produce.

i like the playstations it had some good franchises on it but im glad the xbox cought up

is it out selling the ps3 too? if not that like saying ps2 out sell N64 or super nes. i hope that 360 crush sony's ps3

Currently, here's your order of sales when it comes to the Next-Gen systems:

1. Nintendo Wii - 11.3 Million units (3.56M JPN, 4.58M NA, 3.17M Others)
2. Xbox 360 - 10.82 Million units (0.44M JPN, 6.96M NA, 3.42M Others)
3. Playstation 3 - 4.50 Million units (1.16M JPN, 1.96M NA, 1.38M Others)

You will never hear me bash the Playstation or PS2. They are two fantastic systems that had many games that I enjoyed. The Playstation 3 has been marketed poorly, forcing yet another Sony format onto us that many people do not really care about (Blu-ray), but since the PS3 discs are in that format, there really wasn't a choice.

Right now, my only regret is that I don't have a large HDD, although if this system fails me, since I'm on my fifth 360 system, Gamestop has agreed to give me an Elite so long as I re-up on my PRP with them, which I fully intend on doing.

I totally agree in the love for PS and PS 2. I never understood why people want to bash any certain system. As long as there is competitiveness between the consoles they will always try to better themselves to get your business. That what we want as customers, companies that will go all out to make us happy.

People are stupid and argumentative, that's why they bash certain systems. You can choose which systems you want to buy yourself for whatever reason, and that's fine. To bash a system blindly without really playing it is pretty much stupid and is the very definition of being a fanboy.
