The Walking Dead - A Point and Click Adventure
News | April 29, 2012 2:45 am
Were you left nonviably hanging when season 2 of The Walking Dead ended? Are you hungering for a fix between The Walking Dead comic issues? Well then today is your lucky day because A New Day (Episode 1 of The Walking Dead video game) is now available to be downloaded from the X-Box Live Arcade marketplace! If that is not enough to get your foul juices flowing then get this it is being sold for the low-crawling price of 400 microsoft points.
In case you were placed in a coma, and you are totally unaware of your families location/and any knowledge of this game let me fill you in. It was developed by Telltale games, and it is based on Robert Kirkman's The Walking Dead comic book series. You play as a brand new character, Lee Everett, who was created just for this game. However that does not mean his travels will be devoid of your favorite Robert Kirkman characters. In fact a couple of the main characters will be making cameo appearances during Lee's travels, and as a result you will be able to see their lives before you were initially introduced to them in the comic books. The game play is built around a point and click system, but it fits with the story. This is the first of five episodes, and it is only worth 100 gamerscore.
If your in the mood and you have any spare brains I suggest you check out this arcade game.

I was gonna buy I but seen the 100 GS and will pass until all episodes are DotW. Iirc, there is to be 4 or 5 episodes, so you're paying 1600-2000 MSP for 400-500GS. Not a good deal to me.........

Have to admit I wasn't sure how this would be but turned out real good. You actually started to care about the characters and your decisions. Looking forward to the next episodes

This was made by the same company that did "Jurassic Park The Game". So the whole interactive movie gameplay won't catch me off guard.

Played through episode one, great game and a nice story. Started playing episode two yesterday, pretty good so far. I'm glad they will be making a Season 2!

Interesting. However as listed the retail disc currently costs more.

If they were smart, they would make the retail disc and arcade downloads stack achievement-wise. Then people who already bought it would get it again.

If they're releasing a retail disc version of the game this November they might wanna hurry the hell up and put out the last 2 episodes. The way things have been in the past, we will get episode 4 when the disc is released with all 5. Will kinda suck for those of us who are downloading them as they come out.
