Gears is Gears.
To me it feels pretty much the same, which is good. Now the Lancer seems to be more effective, but the game is still a shotgun fest.
The new mode, Dodgeball, is pretty awesome, gets your heart racing.
The Deathmatch mode is the same, but now they have another deathmatch mode in which the opposite team is filled with bots (hardcore AI). It's actually a good mode for practice, but slow to level up.
I don't know what to think about the new bounty cards systems. It's cool because it helps level up quicker but I see now a lot more people stealing kills just to fill the card's quota.
I haven't been able to successfully pull the new Yank and Shank move yet. It looks cool when you see it happen.
All in all, bugs aside (getting disconnected, flashing screen) I like it. It's a true beta, needs a lot of polishing but that's why it's there in the first place.
Now if only it could stop matching me with the most horrible players...
