New GH III DLC Song Pack

Well, I guess it is a good thing so much good stuff is now available on Xbox Live, but the service is crawling for downloads. Anyways, there is some new Guitar Hero III songs available for download for 500 Microsoft Points. Check out the Classic Rock Track Pack, which includes "Peace of Mind" (as performed by Boston, "Juke Box Hero" (as performed by Foreigner) and "Any Way you Want It" (As performed by Journey). Thanks to Major Nelson for the heads up.

Decent selection but I think they could have found better, more-fun songs to play from Foreigner and Journey.

What they really need is a "carpal tunnel" pack with tracks from Yngwie Malmsteen, Steve Vai, and Joe Satriani.

Or a "metal!!1!1one" pack with Meshuggah, Cannibal Corpse, and Dying Fetus.

I do think it's pretty good that the 3-song GH packs are cheaper than Rock Band packs, but at about $6.25USD, that still seems like too much. I guess it makes sense since the current "market rate" for most songs in digital, portable format is .99 and then you figure an extra dollar for the GH note encoding and all

actually its more expensive. rockband packs are only 440 points. this gh 3 pack is 500 points.
