Metal Gear Solid 4 on the 360?

Not so far-fetched anymore. Kotaku has a piece up that quotes Konami PR man Yoshitaka Arai as saying:

The worldwide demand for an Xbox 360 version (of MGS4) is quite high, and it is something we are currently looking in to.

In an age when development costs are skyrocketing, this is no shock that MGS 4 would be looked at being cross-developed, much like Bio-Shock has been done with the PS3. Thoughts on this?

Z, you have made me so happy this morning

MGS4 is the only reason I would have eventually bought a PS3; if it comes out to the 360, saves me an extra $400. I had always hoped they would do this, especially after they did something similar with MGS2 on the original Xbox. With it's awesome looking online play, it would be amazing to have on Live. I'm willing to wait Hideo Kojima, just make it worth while!

MGS4 was the only reason I bought a PS3, if they made it for the 360 that would be even more amazing.

I would definitely give MGS4 a shot if it comes to our seXboxes.
I only ever played the old NES one and then MGS on PSOne but I liked both of them.

To hell with MGS4!

What rules is the Sony market flocking to our beloved system!

We are the money and we deserve to get the titles! Nintendo will never fold, but every Sony exclusive title that comes to xbox makes my investment seem very sound!

Welcome Final Fantasy, and MGS will be welcomed as well! If this is true, it's a good time to be a 360 owner!

well...sony DID make a deal w/ nintendo, on brawl they let them use snake...which was odd but, hesnot that bad of a char

if they do this cool, im not a big sony fan so i never bought a ps (well we had a ps1,but at the time it was that or a n64, we had the n64 first but the ps1 just kinda randomly appeared lol) and the only time id play PS is at a friends house....

don't care for mgs games but resistance would be the best game ever to come over to the 360!

Halo is an Intellectual Property (IP) of Microsoft Game Studios that was developed by Bungie while a studio of Microsoft Game Studios. There is no way Halo goes to the PS3 unless Microsoft says it does.

Metal Gear series on the other hand is 100% owned by Konami. They developed and publish the game series, so unless Sony has in their development contract with Konami (with a sizable fee no doubt) that MGS 4 would be a PS3 exclusive (or at least timed exclusive), then Sony has no say in the matter.
