I thought Gears was pretty easy on insane but didn't really mind too much since I was playing it splitscreen coop with my friend. I'm really debating/thinking about picking up Reach to play with a few of my friends despite the fact that I really hate Halo ever since 3 I just want somethin with some good multiplayer to waste what little time I have with and play with some friends and not care too much, Halo fits the bill of not caring, could care less about the campaign.

Gears 1 on insane was a joke! I did that by myself in like 4-5 hours... As for 2, Mini and I finished that I think in 2 sittings... Maybe 6-7 hours?
That explains everything.

I don't know what kind of fake bad ass you guys have been eating out of, but when you're playing alone, both Gears games on Insane are pretty damn difficult. You're all like "me and so-and-so did it, it was cake" yes it is way fuckin' easier with 2 people.
I found Gears 2 insane solo to be harder/slower going than Halo 3 Legendary solo.
One thing I have to say, though, is that it was difficulty born of the AI making good decisions while you made bad ones; it wasn't from sloppy controls or anything, so that made it minimally frustrating at worst.
What really really grinds my gears is when a games' sloppy controls or glitchy mechanics cause you to die more often than your own bad choices.

That's what made me give up on Prince of Persia. I was always jumping
off walls and falling to my death.

Meta I've been eating the bad ass wheaties imbued with extra kick assing-ness, where have you been? When I played Gears 1 on insane I had my friend playing with me over live who was an equal bad ass so we destroyed it in ONE sitting, as for 2 I had my friend with tourettes(not joking) playing with me and he was on casual while I was on insane so I tended to stay in the back and let him take the fire but it was still pretty easy, I only died like once or twice I believe and they were both in the annoying driving parts.
As for dying from bad controls, the worst culprit of that for me within the last few months was Prince of Persia classic on arcade, that game pissed me off to no end. Ask Junior about how I almost broke my controller playing it while talking to him in party chat, good times

Also, neither of us is playing through on Casual, we are both going through on Insane. It is the vehicle missions that are a pain.

Taco Bell commercials grind my gears. Hot white chicks do not work at Taco Bell.
Their new slogan cracks me up though. "Why pay more?" I'll tell you why I pay more:

When you get the recording for not dialing 1 or 0.
I mean, DAMN! The machine knows the number I want to dial.
"You need to dial 1 before the number to make this call"
WHY DON'T YOU DO IT!!!
We can put people on the moon but can't have a phone system that transfers the most obvious calls?

They can't do it because it makes sense and anything that makes sense in a bureaucracy like a phone company can't be good.

My kids are playing the Harry Potter one, I played it for a few hours and only got a single achievement! That game is longer that the 2 Star Wars combined.
