I did my advanced exchange online in their service repair center? But if you call them and tell them its a disc drive problem they should offer you a free game and make sure you tell them you dont want a refirbished disc drive if you dont have 500$ to put down.
I probably should've called and asked for an advanced exchange. I did it online because I couldn't find the phone number last night (I found it this morning, but it might be a little late). I talked to someone via chat, but they didn't offer me a free game. I read somewhere that they no longer do that :/ I'll just have to borrow my boyfriend's console until I get mine back.

Well, I opened a brand new controller that I was given as a gift last Christmas and the left joystick wasn't even connected. It just flopped around. I called support and they said, "well, accessories only have a 90 day warranty so unfortunately there's nothing we can do." It was literally brand new and never used...
Wow, that's quality right there
Thats why you put it back in the box and take it to wal mart and tell them you dont have a receipt.

WGMG - Shopping for jeans with my son at any store. It's his size that makes it so difficult. 28x30. One pair out of an entire store. He's 16, tall and thin. Maybe when he's 17 he will fit into a 30 waist and he will have a bigger selection. Right now I am grinding my gears over the fact that the world now has to cater to all of the over-weight people. =(

Where are you shopping?? My 11 year old just moved to 30x32, and it seems like all anyone has in stock is smaller waist sizes. Maybe because you're in n Cali and there are a lot of... Petite men... They sold out of the smaller sizes, but I don't think anything about clothing or fashion caters to over-weight people.

Or buy a new one and then return the broken one with that receipt.

They're serial numbered, I'm sure they wouldn't check, but still.

Y'all folks should give OldNavy.com a try, unless the boys are picky and want some specific brand or something. One of my boys is tall and thin and the other is short and round. I get all their stuff from there.

Yup. I've done that numerous times. Whether I've bought it there or not. You just need to know the rules of the game. The moment the CSA tells you that they can't take it back without a receipt, you ask for the manager. Now it being Walmart, the manager will more than likely take forever to get there. Your next step would be to make a comment on the fact that it took them a great while to get there and that you feel that your concern isn't important to them. That you're not sure why you stayed waiting there so long when you should have just called the corporate offices to make the complaint but you wanted to give them the opportunity to address the situation and correct it. Let the manager know the issue you are having with the controller and they'll swap it. No manager would ever wage a battle on 50 bucks. Not worth their time. They'll get a return authorization from the vendor and get their money back anyway. Managers do not want you to call the corporate offices and file a complaint. It weighs heavily on their bonuses. Problem solved. If for whatever reason it doesn't work, let me know. I'll get you two controllers by the time I'm done. Just be sure you get names of who you talked to.

I bought shoes today. That's always Hell in a hand basket. I have to find a men's size 10 basketball shoe that has a narrow heel, almost no arch (but still some), and a freaking wide toe area. Thankfully Nike and Mr. Jordan seem to be capable of this recently. I have to drive an hour or more to buy shoes because I'm some kind of mutant. My last toe is sideways. No joke. I have half an arch. It's only on the inside area of my foot and barely there. Not to mention I'm supposed to be a girl, so why does my body not understand that? Forget cute sandals…or clothes. I hate myself. \end vent session

His grandmother gave him a gift card for Kohl's. He's not really petite - he's 5'7" tall with a 28" waist and a 30" inseam. I think he just got done with a growth spurt and hopefully it's gonna be a while until he goes through another.

I'm going to have to buy a standard disc version of Destiny and the Digital Guardian edition from Live when it comes out to get the Limited Edition stuff and the upgraded Sparrow. At least it's not like Halo 4 and I have to barter for all the preorder stuff. It's not that much more expensive and I might sell the disc on to recoup some of it, at least $40 and usually $50. Just inconvenient. I can pick up a season pass with what I get back.

I think I will have to take my son to Old Navy like Mindy suggested.
Edit - Nevermind, I went to OldNavy.com and they only have a 29 waist. Bummer.

Have you tried boys sizes? I believe a boys size 16 or 18 converts to 28x30.

He is unwilling to try going back to the 'boys' sizes. I think it's a growing up thing.
