It all depends where you live and what kind of coverage they provide.
I've had AT&T for many, many years and never had an issue with my account. But since the Windows phone I wanted was the WP7 (t-mobile exclusive), I just bought it unlocked and haven't has an issue with it, actually, I called AT&T and they helped me set it up (I had an iphone before).
Oh, and I do have unlimited data on my plan.

just to make sure im not completely stupid/crazy, somebody PLEASE tell me something
if you go for a trip in the car at 11:30 (doesnt matter where or why, its semi-hypothetical) and you look at the time and its almost 2:30.....have you been in the car for 3 hours, or 4 hours?
im trying to settle a completely stupid argument and see who all isnt stupid and knows its 3 hours, and you cant just say "11:30, 12:30, 1:30, 2:30. 4 hours" as a logical/rational comeback in an argument -.-

yea i know, thats what i said. i was like "no you dont count 11:30 unless you started at 10:30, which you didnt. it goes 11:30-12:30, one hour. 12:30-1:30, two hours. 1:30-2:30, three hours."
but yet i get bitched out for "proving them wrong" when i was just pointin our they counted the hours wrong and saying how theyre actually counted-.- but because that went against them, they got pissed and bitched at me....because thats just how todays society (and sometimes this person) work -.- dont agree, get bitched at. yet, they ALWAYS tell us to speak our mind...

You can always do what my boy Derek does to his mom when she says something stupid. He laughs at her for two minutes straight, sometimes falling on the ground. Then his mom is like "whats so funny?". Then he's like nothing and walks away. Then she looks at me confused.
thats a little harder to do when youre texting the person xD

besides, knowing this person, the fact that i was just sending "LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL" or 'AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH" for like 2-5 txts straight, and ignoring the "wtf?" or "stop sending that!" would just piss them off even more...so..a lil counterproductive to say the least xD

Yep. I just found out they don't offer it anymore. I renewed the contract when the first iphone came out, so since I'm still with them, they just change whatever I want without having to renew, hence the unlimited data. If I renew, I get the limited data.
It's actually funny because the wi-fi on my iphone got screwed, so since they were not offering any warranty for the iphone then, I've just been using the data stream for everything. If I didn't have the unlimited plan I'd be paying an astronomical amount of money on my bills.
