Next thing you'll say is that Stand By Me or Shawshank Redemption are bad movies. Goonies is an awesome movie. I've watched it over 100 times with and without commentary. Glad they didn't put the
octopus scene in, that was horrible.
LOL, I need to see that.

Trust me it needed to be taken out. I was always wondering what Data was talking about at the end when he said "The giant octopus was the scariest part."

Come on Melissa! There are plenty of good movies that were made in the 80's and Stand By Me is one of them. There's a big difference between an 80's movie and a film made in the 80's.

Well... I fell asleep in Shawshank, so I can't really rate it except to say it didn't hold my interest enough for me to stay awake... but I liked Family Guy's version. I never saw Stand By Me- I was a 6 year old girl when it came out- I wouldn't have been allowed to see an R movie had I been inclined to. Doesn't matter- I never heard of it until I was an adult, and as a 31 year old woman, a coming of age story about boys doesn't appeal to me.
I just don't like 80s movies, sorry! They're ugly, and depressing, and like everything else from the 80s, I think they would be better off forgotten!
And people say I hate everything :baffled:
ROFLCOPTER!

No you don't need to see that. That part was lame and didn't fit in with the movie whatsoever. Other than that part, the movie was awesome. Sloth love Chunk!

I don't hate ALL 80s movies, I was exaggerating slightly. Here's a list of 80s movies I like:
Back to the Futures
Airplanes
The Naked Gun
The Blues Brothers
Labrynth
Dirty Dancing
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
There are others I consider tolerable, but mostly if I didn't list a movie I don't like it or I never saw it (and there are a LOT of movies I didn't see in the 80s). I just don't like the decade, and I'm really not a fan of movies in general. Sorry.
I made the best one in that list big. Great learning film for kids wanting out of school. lol.
