Microsoft announced that the Xbox One will no longer require an internet connection, a 24 hour check in, block used games or from being shared.
The Xbox One will now be just like the XBox 360 in every way and form. The consumers won in the end

Nope. I have two active and a 10th anniversary that's still sitting NIB waiting on me to open it. Can't see a good reason to go One.

because 360 games are going to be as much as xbone games but vastly inferior?

Most 360 games are already in 1080p. I bet the first 6 months the 300,000 servers won't be worth a damn anyways.

I will now buy one eventually, but not this year probably.

Sticking with my PS4 pre-order for now. Between my 360s and a new PS4, there's no real need to rush into anything. I'll wait and see how the kinect deal plays out. If I can shut it off and allow it to collect dust like my current kinect, I'll probably end up with the XBO at some point. If they start integrating it into more and more games/features, I'll likely pass and stick with sony. It's simply a peripheral that I have zero interest in (unless it is VASTLY improved over the current version).

Most of them are 720p. The 1080 is upscaling.
I think that MS is going to leverage their resources to make the first year of One all responsive and cloud-y, but at the same time I feel like a lot of the DRM "features" that they initially spouted will come creeping back over the One's lifespan.
+edit+ Also I re-re-edited the article to give proper credit to Scarface1--thanks man!

I dunno, I've seen a lot of games at the 1080p level. There's hardly a difference between 720p and 1080p anyways. They can't push the graphics too far since the new organic displays that are supposedly 4x the 1080p now are so ridiculously priced that only .000001% of gamers would be able to afford them.
The next next gen consoles are something I will definitely be keeping my eye on.

since xboner modified themselves to consumer's demand, can they still play 360 games?

Meta, you also forgot that the XBoner is going to be region free now. Which is not like the 360, it's better!
