The item purcahse for 100MSP is only if you are new to XBL and are making your first purchase. I made that angry phone call to MSS last month. Same with netflix. If you've ever had it before it doesn't count if you purchase it again. As for the 80 MSP for buying an avatar item it has to be a 240MSP item to qualify....a lot of rules and restrictions.

I purchased Starkiller's Dual Lightsabers (400 points) and Starkiller Combat Gear (320 points). They only credited me for 1 of those. I didn't get Netflix until Jan 1, 2011 and they didn't credit me for that either.

Holy crap, they just awarded me - Purchased Avatar Item of 240 Points or More on XBL Marketplace from 01/02/2011. They rewarded me 1 of the items 2 days after I purchased it and it took them this long to award me with the other one that I purchased the same day as the other one. They still haven't given me the points from using Netflix for the first time.
