Today, I went to Gamestop and joined in on a Super Street Fighter IV Tourney. It was a small tourney, but it was fun nonetheless. I, figured I would have a decent chance, as I currently have a 75% win rate online with about 135 matches under my belt.
I ended up facing Her0 0f Hyrule in the tourney finals, who is ranked 3rd (minus Gamesavers) in NM for gamerscore. He Mained Ken, While I Mained T.Hawk. It was best of 5 round, and I managed to get the win in Round 4, going 3 to 1.
The boss at Gamestop, then said he would beat me with Dan, but then handicapped himself using a fightstick and I smashed him, with some good laughs within the match. I am sure if he played without the fightstick, he would have done a ton better.
Overall, Each competitor got a free preorder for MvC3. They gave me a 25 dollar gift card, and a 15th Anniversary Edition Ryu Controller for the PS2 (lol, right?)
It was good fun, and I had a blast! If you live in NM, Gamestop is having an MvC2 Tourney soon, and are looking for 64 Competitors to compete!
