I've tried every solution I could come up with and nothing helped. Maybe you guys, with your collective pool of wisdom and experience, can get me out of this jam. I've been unable to get my two 360's to connect to WMC. My network setup is:

PC running W7 Enterprise
Linksys WRT610n router
Xbox Elite directly connected to router
Xbox Arcade connected to router via Xbox 802.11n adapter

The PC's internet connection is, of course, working fine. Both 360's can get to the network & Xbox Live and both show up on the network map on my PC and in Linksys EasyLink Advisor but neither can connect to WMC. The IP addresses look ok. The drive with all my media is set for sharing and my WMC libraries are set up for the correct folders.

So, any ideas? I didn't see a thread addressing this topic and I'm hoping this might be a good resource for W7 users to resolve this problem.

Thanks!

when you set up your xbox and go to media center is that connected to media center? It gives you a port key/serial key so to speak in order to get media center to recognize the system? Also in Windows Media Player itself you have to share your media in order for other devices to link up to it.

I did set Media Player to share media, and in the dashboard I wasn't able to connect to Media Center.

Click on Media Center and does it ask you to type in a code for media center extender?

Yes, it does. The console gives me the 8-digit code but WMC doesn't see the extender or take the code. And my firewall is off.

Double check that the specific folders in Windows are set to share, also I think you might need to enable it so that people sharing can write/alter stuff in the folder (i think that's what i had to do in XP to get my 360's to show up)

I got it...I think. I had to replace my router with a newer hardware version, so I reset the firewall, idiot-checked my file sharing preferences, and added the new router to the network. The Xboxes set up as extenders just fine and everything in the media library showed up. This morning, however, I did has some connectivity issues with the wireless and all my movies disappeared from that console. The struggle continues.
