Niko is nowhere near as annoying as Roman. God I hated that fat fuck.
Or Brucie for that matter...
That whole cast is terrible imo.

Henry Townshend from Silent Hill 4: The Room. Most boring character ever.

Lololol. Vaan XD I almost feel like Vaan should have been the one to die and they should have ran the story with Reks.

After much thought...I feel this poor excuse for a protagonist is indeed the most disappointing of the bunch.
He has the memories and skills of Altair, Ezio and Connor yet instead of the ultimate bad-ass he manages to be a intolerable nuisance in his own franchise. He's supposedly the pinnacle of his combined bloodlines yet only manages to

We all felt the series was building up to a modern day title starring Desmond but his lack of depth and likability resulted in the devs going another direction...in my opinion he is a prime example of how NOT to develop your franchise main character.
assassinate his girlfriend and sacrifice himself.

That was a stupid pick. He was mostly filler to connect the games and was in a computer a majority of the time reliving his relatives memories.

and I forgot saving the whole world is no big deal like you just implied lmao.

It was a stupid pick because he was mostly filler? He's a main character with unlimited access to skills and knowledge reduced to "Filler" which in my opinion makes him the most disappointing. I mean he learned everything Ezio learned only to never utilize any of it minus annoying free running stages. If you disagree why don't you actually offer up your own? Your first sentence basically proved my point.
Edit: Just looked through the thread and you just trolled other peoples opinions. Let's hear who you think is the worst so we can pick it apart.

Except the story didnt revolve around him commiting the assassinations, it was about him finding the artifacts where ezio connor and altair hid them to prevent the world ending. You would have a point if the game revolved around him going to different areas to kill people, but that wasnt the focus of the modern day timeline at all. Plus the same methods his ancestors used wouldnt work in a modern day setting.

I disagree. Free running, martial arts, hidden blades (often with poison) and guns work for assassinations in any setting. Which I think is kind of the point of how they all operate similarly despite the time differences. The first two games lead you to believe he is being groomed to take down Abstergo so obviously they felt the skills were relevant.
None of what you said address's the fact he is a bad character with little to no appeal. You just seem to be pointing out his status as the protagonist is somehow irrelevant.

Hes not even the worst character in modern time frame of that series. His father is a piece of shit with no redeeming qualities.

This thread is entitled "Worst video game protagonist". None of the other characters factor into this discussion.
