i just beat the first one and loved it i was thinking about getting that but not sure yet does any one know about metro 2033?

From what I hear, Metro 2033 has a great story and atmosphere, but the controls and gameplay are clunky. I guess it would be worthy of a rental if you're interested. But you're thinking of a purchase, Mass Effect 2 is a good one. Incredible story, improved controls from the first, very action packed and lots of replayability. Battlefield BC2 seems to be another people are loving at this moment. One of my favorite games ever is Dead Space, get that if you havent played it yet.

Oh yeah, download the Just Cause 2 demo and try it. It is very amazingly fun to just screw around in the game, with the parachute and tether, but the missions themselves seem pretty good too.
Even if you don't end up buying it, the demo is fun enough to keep on your HDD and play around in every now and then.
