good idea....but what if the streets are COVERED in zombies dude?! Then you run the risk of any of them over running you when your getting in and out of your pawn shop.

Seriously, though, I actually have a group of friends that have made loose plans for what they call "Z-day" and they get together and go camping, go to gun ranges and stuff just to stay "prepared".
They keep a website and forum going, and have all sorts of outlines for methods of defense, survival, how to quickly fortify a Wal-mart including standard floor layouts, good routes for getting in and out of Houston without going through major towns, etc.
They know it's not actually gonna happen, it's just an excuse for them to hang out and have fun but I always tell myself that if it DOES happen, I'm going to rendezvous with them ASAP.

I'd run to the sporting good store that is right across the street from my apartment. Plenty of guns and ammo so I'd stock up then get to the roof with a tent and my newly acquired Guns. I'd take a fishing pole or two also just to see if I could play Zombie Fishing
