What is your love/hate 360 game?

Everybody has a game they are utterly ambivalent about. Like a bad relationship we keep going back for more punishment for reasons not always apparent.

For me this is a tie:

1) Alpha Protocol - First of all I love this game. Secondly it's complete shit. The best way I can describe it is it's like Mcdonald's Hamburgers. It's delicious and filling upon consumption but 15 minutes later all you feel is regret and despair. I think the attraction here is unfulfilled potential. If given the "Mass Effect" treatment in the polish department this could have been my favorite game on 360. As it sits right now it's a buggy mess with a compelling story that brings me back every few years.

2) Fallout New Vegas - Many of you know of my trials and tribulations with this particular title. From game breaking glitches to corrupted saves I should on all accounts hate this game. Unfortunately I'm a die hard Fallout fan and NV (when it's working) is a truly great game. I just wish the glitches were fewer and less frequent during my time with it.

Honorable mentions: Resident Evil 6, The Last Remnant, Kane and Lynch

I'll be honest, really any Call of Duty game. Don't get me wrong, I like the COD franchise, it's just when I get in a bad match and I keep dying and rage quitting, I keep doing it just for XP. And occasionally, to play with friends.

CoD has always been more of a "Like/tolerate" type of game I'll play for a few weeks to pass the time. Much like Dynasty Warriors or Madden.

Dark souls

I really enjoy it. But I hare how patient and methodical I have to be. Its the complete opposite of how I play all my other games typically getting by on twitch reactions, you cant really do that on dark souls.

Yeah I hate feeling like I'm putting in work opposed to enjoying myself.

No contest for me, Battlefield 4....by far.

It's really really good when it works and a flaming pile of shit when it doesn't. It's been out for 4 months and there's been 6 updates, and it's still broken. Each update fixes about 2 issues and creates 53 more. Not to mention the infestation of CoD dipshits that spend days at a time hiding off the map sniping or taking vehicles that they don't know how to use and getting the shit blown up immediately.

Glad I got my 2 cents in before this turns into a 2364 page thread about final fantasy...it's a good discussion topic though Haze

I would also include "The Walking Dead" into this category as well. The overall impact of my decisions seemed much too minor considering the premise of the game was built around "Choice".

Hexic.

Simple and addictive gameplay, coupled with terribly flawed scoring mechanics made this a game that I worked on and off for about 2 years to break the top 5 in the game's leaderboard only to watch a few assholes hack the leaderboard posting glitched scores. Now there's no way that I will ever be able to get to the top regardless of the fact that I am one of the top 10 players on XBLA.

I still play from time to time, but once someone broke the leaderboard, all of that enjoyment was lost for me.

Two Worlds. It's super glitchy but goddamn it's fun.

Risen 2: it's fun and I SHOULD love it, but it's unbelievably hard and just an unforgiving game. Which sucks when it's a grind to begin with.

Adventure Time: etdbidk: this game is the biggest disappointment ever for me. And yet, I want to love it so I keep coming back to it. And it keeps sucking. But I can't quit it.

I agree with you about Risen 2. I really wanted to like it, but I guess it just wasn't my kind of game. I finally quit after a few hours. I just didn't have enough patience.
