I've been wanting to get this game for so damn long, but the 1200 price point plus all the DLC that just released AND Dragon Age 2 means I'll wait...at least a week or so

I am just a little bit sick of all these awesome games on Steam for $4.99-ish coming over to XBLA and getting jacked up to 1200 BS points for no real reason. I realize there is some work involved in porting but c'mon, we shouldn't have to pay extra for that--remember that the game itself is already made, so there isn't any reason except this stupid "perceived value" crap psychosomatic thing people have with XBLA titles.
You know how you fix that? Stop buying high priced XBLA games. Eventually they'll get the hint. Or just wait for it to go on sale.

I really don't think they will stop pricing them so high if we stop buying them. They would just go on sale like 4 months from now. But for the length of the game I am okay paying the price. I played it last night for almost 4 hours and just reached lvl 15. So you are looking about 8-10 hours if not more just to reach the cap. I have bought other XBLA games that were indeed cheaper, but I got way less of enjoyment out of them.
And for the pricing from Steam to XBLA, I understand it. I don't game on my computer. The main reason being is that I can't afford to keep my computer up to speed when new games come out. Even though you don't have to have a high end computer to play some games, I look at it as still saving money from not having to update my computer every year to keep it up to speed with gaming in the PC world. So a 1200 point game that was on the PC and was very well recieved is okay with me. Then again I don't go buying every single XBLA game that comes out.

I will NEVER pay more then 800 points for an arcade game. I really want this game but I will wait for it to be 50% off. Its funny but all the people that "cave" and buy it are the same people complaining when it comes onsale.

It goes the same with DLC. I have paid for both Fable III DLCs and got like one or two hours of game play. I think it is just the current nature of the business. We have taken over. Video games rule now, so everyone is putting a high price on them knowing we will pay for them.
Torchlight is a great game that I could actually get my 7 year old daughter involved in and I would recommend it for anyone that enjoys dungeon crawlers. Reguarless of the price, because if you a serious gamer, 1200 points is pocket change considering how much you spend on a yearly basis.

the game is incredibly addictive, i only wanted to play 15 minutes before bed last night and ended up doing a hour and a half after an all day dragon age 2 gameplay session.

Man I'm a little pissed because I retired my bad-ass warrior. I could have SWORN it said your next character will inherit their fame, but NOPE, only inherited his weapon.
So now I'm playing all the way through it again, as a mage. It's fun, and I like how there is enough leeway with skills that you can make a battle-mage or pure caster or minion overlord or whatever.
