The Secret of Monkey Island 2®: Le Chuck's Revenge Special Edition

I know this doesn't really merit a new thread all to itself, but I'm so excited, lol! So apologies for the unneeded thread. But The Secret of Monkey Island 2 Le Chucks Revenge Special Edition is being released to the Xbox Live Arcade this Wednesday!

It looks like another easy arcade completion, I need to run through the first one again just to mop up a couple random achievements like the complete the game under 3 hours, this one has that same achievement plus a couple others that are sure to give fans a good laugh!

Here is the achievement list:

LARGO EMBARGO COMPLETE - Complete Part One: Largo Embargo. 25PTS

FOUR MAP PIECES COLLECTED - Complete Part Two: Four Map Pieces. 25PTS

LECHUCKS FORTRESS COMPLETE - Complete Part Three: LeChuck's Fortress. 25PTS

A TRUE PIRATE - Complete the game. 25PTS

SPEED DEMON - Finish the game in under three hours. 25PTS

MONKEY MASTER - Beat the game without using one hint. 20PTS

FREE THINKER - Beat the game using fewer than 10 hints. 10PTS

OLD SCHOOL - Switch to classic mode at least once. 5PTS

FIVE MINUTES LATER - Allow Guybrush to die 10PTS

TURNING THE LIGHTS OUT - Complete the game by using object highlighting five times or less. 10PTS

HELIUM INHALER - Guybrush inhales some helium. 10PTS

CALL 911 - Call the LucasArts helpdesk when walking through the jungle on Dinky Island. 10PTS

Man I am looking forward to grabbing this, I'm so glad they decided to do a Special Edition of it.

I bought the first one last time it was on sale and just started playing it last week, it brings back so many memories!

I hear ya Meta, I sent in a question to that SENTUAMESSAGE sh!t on XBL, doubt I'll get it answered but I asked if there were any possibilities of Day of the Tentacle or any of the other original adventure games getting a facelift...that would be AWESOME!

I played the trial of the first one and hated the SHIT out of it... Never played it as a kid so that could be why.

Can't really get into games like this where there's an actual mouse cursor on the screen and you point it to do shit...

Anyway, I <3 Monkey Island. I didn't get the 1st because I beat the hell out of it on PC when I was just a little Melissa, and I didn't think it was worth the points... I'm excited about this'un, since I didn't play it... or if I did I don't remember, which is just as good.

I never played it on the computer when I was little, my first monkey island game was the escape to monkey island on the PS2 and I LOVED the hell out of that game, can't wait for this to come out TOMORROW!!!!

@Melissa - You will LOVE Monkey Island 2, I guarantee it. There's a reason so many of the rabid MI fans regard 2 as the best of the entire series.

@AJ - If it helps any, SoMI2, and probably all adventure games going forward, will have a "direct control" method where you move the character with the analog stick and perform the default action on the nearest item with a button or trigger, making it a little less like a point-and-click.

to tell you the truth I don't honestly remember, it won't tell me how much it is because I have already purchased it the day it came out....But I can tell you it wasn't over 1200 MP though
