Well at the start of a new year (kind of 
) many magazines and companies take the time to honor the best in gaming of the year's past. I believe XBA should do the same.
If you were here last year, you know it didn't go so well. Well I've thought of some changes that should hopefully make things more fair and make everyone happy. The main problem with last year was I was an idiot and choose the nominees myself. I know, big mistake. But this year, all the voting will be done by YOU.
THE RULES: This year I'm going to give you 8 generic categories in which you can vote for nominees. I will then tally up the nominees and the five games with the most votes will be the "official" nominees for the actual awards. You will then vote again on the "official" nominees to decide the winner in each category.
What you need to do is to pick TWO GAMES that you think deserve to win in each category and send them to me via a PM. Keep in mind the games must of been released between January 1st, 2009 and December 31st, 2009. If you give me a game that wasn't released in that time period it will not count. Now you probably need to know what the categories are to vote, so here they are:
Game of the Year
Best Single Player (not limited to but can include single player only games)
Best Multiplayer (not limited to but can include multiplayer only games)
Best Shooter (3rd or 1st person)
Best Open World or RPG Game
Best Rhythm or Music Game
Best XBL Arcade Game
Disappointment of the Year
So an example PM to me would look like:
My XBA GOTY nominees choices:
Game of the Year - Modern Warfare 2, Batman: AA
Best Single Player - *Insert Game*, *Insert Game*
Best Multiplayer - *Insert Game*, *Insert Game*
Best Shooter - *Insert Game*, *Insert Game*
Best Open World or RPG Game - *Insert Game*, *Insert Game*
Best Rhythm or Music Game - *Insert Game*, *Insert Game*
