Im not a huge fan of Mass Effect, so this will definitely tide me over until Bioshock Infinite.

Not horrible, not great. The environments are pretty bland compared to Tricky. I miss flying through towns ramping off of roofs and shit like that. This one is mostly just trees and rails.
They added a Survival mode which can be both fun and frustrating. Some runs require you to use ice axes while others require an oxygen mask or wingsuit. The added equipment kinda keeps it interesting but there are times when it just feels like too much nonsense.
Global events are pretty cool. You're running against people in real-time but there's no bumping and such..you're just trying to beat their times or trick scores. You earn credits fairly fast in these events which allows you to buy more gear...allowing you to post even better runs. Fairly addictive.
All in all it's a decent game. If you're heavy into the extreme sports genre it's definitely worth $60, otherwise I'd probably wait for a price drop.

^i agree and disagree with many of those opinions. But opinions are each to their own, so noone can say that's wrong. But in general just like everyone, there's quirks here and there, but generally a good game.
