Sony has struggled to develop good reasons for players to subscribe to its premium PlayStation Plus service, but may have an ace up its sleeve to make Plus worthwhile.
Kotaku reports Sony will allow Plus subscribers to save game data on cloud servers, meaning gamers won't have to use hard drive space and will be able to pull up the data on different consoles. The feature should come with the PS3's next firmware update.
This is good news not only for Plus subscribers, but for Xbox 360 owners, since Microsoft has a penchant for matching its rival's innovations.
If you game on a PS3, would cloud saving turn you into a Plus subscriber?
well, good or bad idea? all i can see being a problem in the future is the possibility of the Cloud servers going down, then what are you going to do? why not just stick with a good ol' flash drive?
