I wanted to but I really don't have the time to run to pick up a used copy of RB2. This week is too hectic for me. I don't see why it matters which Rock Band disc you use. There really isn't much difference, that I know of, in the scoring between Rock Band 2 and Rock Band 3 an odds are anyone with RB3 has all the songs from RB2 so as long as you don't pick any of the handful of songs that didn't export, everything should work out fine.

Not to sound like a chump, but everyone knew that rock band 2 was on week 4. So 3 weeks ago, everyone knew they needed a copy. I think everyone should just be on the same game.

Well I know I don't have rock band 1 or 3 so if it is changed I'm not gonna pick up the others and like junior said you all knew it was gonna be rock band 2.

I'll expand here- my intention was to go the cheapest route possible, without forcing people to buy too many of the games for the competition, and use games fairly accessible at GameStop, so returns are possible on Sunday. While I would prefer everyone use the same disk, if the scoring isn't different, it doesn't seem like a big deal if you can get a band together in Rock Band 3, and forcing people to get it seems like the opposite of what I was going for with the tourney. Hell, I played ODST for the first week. :3 My concern is, the scoring seemed very different between 1 & 2, and since scores don't carry over from 2-3, they're probably different again. But idk because I never played 3...
I'll check out the leaderboards later in the morning to see if the max scores are dramatically different.

You can use the cymbals in RB2, except they only count for the color that you're hitting. Like the blue cymbal is the same as the blue drum.

I know that, but I probably won't hit the Cymbals as I'm used to being shown when to hit them, regardless that's how I played The Beatles: Rockband and had a weird experience
